Puntos importantes a considerar:

COMMUNITY DESCRIPTION:

Stand for the Ideal of Life and Food Self-Sufficient Energy. Developing and researching areas (Power, Energy and Human with Animal Traction) from a sustainable, durable and / or permanent in time.

Our community organization is Total Participatory Democracy, where all people are valued and have interference in the final decision or conclusive or Proposals Projects undertaken.

SPIRITUALITY AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

We seek the material conditions that allow us to self-realized spiritual, personal and community in a social environment of mutual respect and harmony.
Our Community seeks to establish relations of harmonious coexistence with their surrounding social and natural environment, supporting appropriate development or Good Relations with Neighboring Social communities.

A "Perspective" permaculture.

Definition

Permaculture is a generic term for the application of ethical and universal design principles in planning, development, maintenance, organization and preservation of habitat suitable to sustain in the future.

The central axis of permaculture are:

Food production
energy self-sufficiency
The landscape design
Organization of social structures.
Integrating renewable energy
Implementation of material cycles "recyclable"

Comment by David Holmgren:

In this limited but important sense, permaculture is not a landscape, or even the skills of organic gardening, organic farming, construction, energy efficiency or the development of eco villages as such. In contrast, can be used to design, build, manage and improve these and all the efforts that individuals, households and communities conduct towards a more sustainable future.

(From the book "Permaculture Principles and path beyond sustainability," David Holmgren, 2002)

HOW TO BECOME PART OF THE PROJECT?

In the Southern Summer of Southern Chile 2010 we are open to receive visitors who want to support the development and construction of this beautiful project.
There are three ways to join and collaborate with the community

1) Visitors volunteers
2) Permanent Residents
3) Persons who provide donations

1) Be voluntary "Objective"

collaborate in the construction of housing and Greenhouses

Assist in planting Nuts and Fruit Trees
Creating a 'Horticultural Forest' (Forest Garden)
Construction of a Large Greenhouse Dome (Bio-Dome)
Organic Gardens Building
Remember that the invitation is to build a spiritual ecological human settlement, where we need help in labor, the work is quite hard but rewarding for the soul. We invite you to build and be part of our life plan, HIKARI community.

Important points to consider:

Volunteering has no cost, but you should stock up on food and personal expenses such as toiletries and so on.
To make contact with nature and enjoy the environment without boundaries, housing is outdoors, in tents, so it is important to bring sleeping bag and tent. It should be noted that accommodation costs were charged.
There is no electricity and no phone signal, only in some sectors and movistar no sign of the nearest village "Futron" is 15 km, where you will find phone service, internet, supermarket, medical services and so on.
I want to clarify that each personal situation is to talk, for the most important thing is to have the real intention of wanting to contribute and help develop our own. Spiritual and self-sustaining community.

2) Be a permanent resident in the community

Lets take an active part of the proposals and decisions of the community
Reside permanently forward-looking.
collaborate in the construction of housing and Greenhouses
Assist in planting Nuts and Fruit Trees
Creating a 'Horticultural Forest' (Forest Garden)
Construction of a Large Greenhouse Dome (Bio-Dome)
Organic Gardens Building
You will have the opportunity to live simply and quietly, in harmony with nature, which values practice, ecological and spiritual principles, respect, solidarity and love for others. We want a place to exchange knowledge and experiences, where there is much to do and learn.
I need to expose people who choose to become permanent residents commit at least one year with the project, this being sufficient time to reflect and learn the meaning of living in community and that is a real contribution to this. Considering also that the number of people as residents make important decisions regarding infrastructure, food and others.

The areas you can develop yourself or bring are:

Construction of bio Gardens: You can help and learn from the various organic farming techniques, composting, making compost and dry toilets.

Building green: We need to build different architectural either dome greenhouses, a house with ecological materials other spaces for community life.
We are also willing to learn and develop in other areas such as
Art.: We want to learn techniques of wood carving, paintings on canvas, making signs, drawings, murals, etc..

Healthy Cooking: Learn how to cook various dishes using what we grow and the different fruits and vegetables in the area.
You can also develop workshops to any area that interests you, such as art classes, yoga classes and philosophy or any discipline with the idea of improving your emotional balance, strength, spirituality and body strengthening. You can also develop a talk for children environmentally aware sector etc..

3) Persons who provide grants for community development.

These people are very, very important to our community as they bring donated food, building materials, animals, seeds, etc..

If you want to make a voluntary contribution you can contact us directly:

Katsumasa Egoshi: ENTEL: 8-4203968, MoviStar 9-95 440 03 for communication security send text messages to try direct talks at different times, as there is lack of signal at certain times of day.

COMENZANDO COMUNIDAD HIKARI

I was noticed of this project by and invitation publicated in chilean web site www.permacultura.cl and interested me so much because that is what I was looking for. So I go to visit the community and meet his foundator Katsumasa Egoshi , who explain me the details and challenges that means start this community because it is just beginning. I decide to join that is a great decision for me because changes all my way of life that I have before. I am the first person that joins and get the compromise permanently. At this moment we are Katsumasa, me and Marcela Solis, she is not living with us but help constantly. The community has a measure of 1.5 ha. That means that have a capacity of 5 families (a couple with 2 sons) that not exclude single members and the visits are welcome always. In resume the full living permanently capacity is 20 people, that is because the community sustains by self whit his own land whit natural agriculture and small animals (that no means vegetarians are excluded) In this way of development the community will adding all kind of technologies, power, aplications that can be armonized with the natural environment. Also we promove each others the learning of all kinds of knowledge, that will depends of the knowledges that have each member can offer. This make possible the conditions for a dynamic intercultural exchange enviroment. Katsumasa want to explain that the community have the purpose of create a mini utopia that not discriminate status, nationality, believes, color, politic or past history. The community not promote the sectarism and have for purpose the spiritual evolution.
